Occasion: what to wear, figured out for you
Personal styling built around invitations, weather, your closet, and the things you actually feel good wearing.
Occasion is an exercise in building a purely monetizable application with mass-market appeal. It originated with a comment from my partner's father: he wanted an app where he could upload an invitation to an event and get back an outfit suggestion that was weather-appropriate, in line with current style trends, and fit the occasion well. That one comment turned out to be a whole product.
Invisible AI, again
Like Clio, this is another look at how AI can be used silently, without the user ever fully needing to know it's there. You tell the app your clothing sizes (or, if you have them, your detailed tailor measurements), and it looks at the items in your closet alongside a full catalogue of clothing from whatever retailers want to show their products on the service.
The outfit, and the community
It hands you back an outfit built from things you own and things you don't, ready to shop. Then you can share your look in the social area to give inspiration to other users, collect likes on your looks, see what brands are suggesting, and more. Personal styling meets a marketplace meets a feed, with the AI doing the heavy lifting where you can't see it.
The design side
Visually, Occasion leans gentle on purpose: soft lavender, warm paper tones, and an editorial serif that makes getting dressed feel like something to look forward to rather than a chore. The design system panel in this section is a small peek at that language.
